The Hampton Theatre Company will present the Tony Award-Winning Comedy, “God of Carnage” opening Thursday, May 22 and running through June 8.
Directed by Diana Marbury and starring Andrew Botsford, Rosemary Cline, Jessica Ellwood and Joe Pallister, the play by Yasmina Reza is about two pairs of parents who meet to discuss their children after one strikes another with a stick, knocking out his two front teeth. What begins as a civil discussion, devolves into a yelling match as this volatile comedy reveals how quickly and disastrously the thin veneer of civility can be stripped away as these parents discuss the confrontation between their sons.
“God of Carnage” opens Thursday, May 22 at The Hampton Theatre Company in the Quogue Community Hall, 125 Jessup Avenue, Quogue, and will run through June 8. Performances will be held on Thursday and Fridays at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors, and $10 for students under 21.
