What was it like to live in East Hampton during the Great Depression? Hugh King moderates a panel of local residents from those trying times, including Mary Curles, Norton Daniels, Donald Halsey, Robert Stone and his daughter Marion McMahon, who will bring their memories of East Hampton during the 1930s and early 1940s to a younger audience. Afterward, older members of the audience will be invited to share their reminiscences in this important oral history program. The program,entitled "The Bad Old Days: The Great Depression," will be held on Friday, February 22, at 7 p.m. at the Clinton Academy and is sponsored by the East Hampton Historical Society.
