The film, "The Sugar Connection: Holland, Barbados and Shelter Island," Traces the trade route that played an important part in the development of Sylvester Manor of Shelter Island. The film will be shown as part of the Friday Night Dialogues at the Shelter Island Public Library this Friday, March 1 at 7 p.m. The free screening is followed by remarks from the film's director, executive director of the Suffolk County Archeological Association, Dr. Gaynell Stone.
