Former Owner of Sag Harbor 7-Eleven Sentenced to 7 Years in Prison

The former owner of Sag Harbor’s 7-Eleven who pleaded guilty in September to wire fraud as well as concealing and harboring illegal aliens while stealing their wages, was sentenced to seven years in prison on Monday morning.

J. Crew Building in East Hampton Wrecked By Early Morning Flames

An early morning fire on Friday, April 24, caused serious damage to the building that houses J. Crew clothing store at 14 Main Street in East Hampton Village. The fire, which officials believe started behind the neighboring Rowdy Hall, also damaged that building, causing the temporary closure of the restaurant.

Just over a month after filing a sexual discrimination suit against Southampton Town, Susan Ralph became the town’s first-ever female police lieutenant when she was promoted from sergeant by the town board during a swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, March 24.

Three Injured in Noyac Road Crash

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Noyac Road Friday morning.

Sag Harbor Fire Chief Jim Frazier said the driver of a car was medevaced to Stony Brook Hospital from the North Sea ballfield following the accident. Two other victims were taken by ambulance to Southampton Hospital.
