Four direct care workers, employed by Independent Group Home Living Program, Inc., were arraigned last week on felony charges for allegedly watching and encouraging an individual with developmental disabilities in their care attack another individual with disabilities.

A Sag Harbor man pled guilty Tuesday to charges that while driving drunk last July, he caused a collision that seriously injured a six-year-old boy, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said in a press release.

As Carolyn and Jerry Ouderkirk drove to their Redwood Road, Sag Harbor home on Sunday afternoon Carolyn noticed a number of mailboxes scattered throughout the neighborhood.
What the Ouderkirks came home to was a scene that many Redwood residents woke up to Sunday morning, after police believe a group of individuals, some likely using a truck, trashed mailboxes, fences, an outdoor light, and even a large cement flower pot throughout the Redwood neighborhood late Saturday night or in the early hours on Sunday.

Sag Harbor Village Police released a sketch this week of a man they say is a third suspect wanted for questioning in connection to a November 19 armed robbery of The Corner Closet on Main Street in Sag Harbor.

Police are looking for a Hispanic man alleged to have wielded a gun in an armed robbery on Main Street, Sag Harbor Tuesday night just before 6 p.m. Sag Harbor Village Police and Suffolk County Crime Stoppers have released an artist’s rendering of the suspect and are asking the public for its help.

A Rockville Centre teen, Joseph Cardinali, was arrested by East Hampton Town Police on Sunday, November 17 and charged with aggravated sexual assault in the first degree, a felony, and assault in the third degree, a misdemeanor.

A Springs man who grew up in Sag Harbor and is accused of being responsible for a slew of burglaries across the South Fork pled not guilty to a 27 count indictment last Thursday, November 7. In the indictment, Justin Bennett, 35, is charged with burglarizing more than two-dozen East End homes.
