Southampton Town Names First Female Lieutenant

Just over a month after filing a sexual discrimination suit against Southampton Town, Susan Ralph became the town’s first-ever female police lieutenant when she was promoted from sergeant by the town board during a swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, March 24.

Three Injured in Noyac Road Crash

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Noyac Road Friday morning.

Sag Harbor Fire Chief Jim Frazier said the driver of a car was medevaced to Stony Brook Hospital from the North Sea ballfield following the accident. Two other victims were taken by ambulance to Southampton Hospital.

Ali Wisdom, 37, the man Sag Harbor Village Police say entered his cousin’s house on Hillside Drive in Sag Harbor on February 10, brandishing a handgun, demanding money, and firing off several rounds before fleeing, was arraigned on four felony charges in Southampton Town Justice Court on Friday morning.

Public’s Help Sought in Identifying Suspicious Man

Southampton Town Police are asking the public’s help in identifying and locating a man who pulled up to a house in Water Mill in a white van on Friday, February 27, walked to the front door and lifted up the mat to check for a house key.

Detectives are investigating several East End burglaries they say could be related to the incident.
