White Knights Respond to Two-Car MVA in East Hampton

At 6:11 a.m. on March 5, members of the East Hampton Fire Department’s “White Knights” heavy rescue squad were called to Montauk Highway at Georgica Road to extricate victims of a two-car accident that occurred in the early hours of a snowstorm that day.

Public’s Help Sought in Identifying Suspicious Man

Southampton Town Police are asking the public’s help in identifying and locating a man who pulled up to a house in Water Mill in a white van on Friday, February 27, walked to the front door and lifted up the mat to check for a house key.

Detectives are investigating several East End burglaries they say could be related to the incident.

Police are looking for Ali Wisdom, 37, who they say entered a neighbor’s house on Hillside Drive in Sag Harbor on Tuesday night, brandishing a handgun and demanding the male resident’s money.

Although Mr. Wisdom remains at large, Sag Harbor Village Police Thomas Fabiano said, “he is known to us,” expressing confidence that he would soon be taken into custody.

Hampton Bays Paramedic Dies on Call

A paramedic with the Hampton Bays Volunteer Ambulance Corps died of an apparent heart attack while responding to a call on Monday morning.

Ralph Oswald, 64, was on a call responding to an unresponsive male patient at about 9 a.m., the corps stated in a release, when he told his fellow crew members that he was not feeling well and then collapsed.
