Sag Harbor Whaling & Historical Museum Closing for Repairs

Posted on 11 September 2013

On September 12, The Sag Harbor Whaling & Historical Museum will begin preparation for the painting of the exterior of the building and will officially close for the season.

According to museum board president Barbara Lobosco, the building and 10-feet around its premises will be wrapped and protected because lead paint will be removed from the building. There will be Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) signs placed around the property advising people no one is allowed on the premises or inside the building from September 12 to September 30.
