Katy’s Courage and Sequin in Southampton have collaborated to host a special shopping event on Saturday, June 21, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
A portion of the proceeds will go to Katy’s Courage, a not-for-profit organization created in the memory of Katy Stewart.
Sequin, a NYC-based jewelry store on Jobs Lane, will host the event. The store will play music and serve cocktails. Guests will able to shop Gabby Sabharwal’s new swimsuit line, Giejo. There will also be a “Make Your Own Talisman” station, where guests can use a variety of different charms (each with a special meaning) to make their own necklace.
Katy’s Courage is a not-for-profit created in memory of Katy, who died at age 12 from hepatoblastoma, a rare form of pediatric liver cancer. The organization is dedicated to the fields of education, pediatric cancer research and counseling. The organization also recently collaborated with the Children’s Museum of the East End for “Katy’s Kids @ CMEE,” which provides support for children and families experiencing loss or heartbreak from events such as death, divorce, adoption, foster care and immigration, by giving them an outlet for expressive therapeutic play.
