I had heard of Katies’ passing, but only now found her obituary. Katie!
Just a good soul says a lot, but she was so much more. Smart, funny, caring, loyal, loving, hip,and just plain good.
I loved Kate as a dear friend, and worked with her in a bar during the Harbors’ “Dodge City” days, and we always managed to have a good time while earning our keep. Maybe we sometimes had too good a time, but we were young, and the village was wild. But through it all, Kate stayed steady and true. It does my heart good to see that she and Chris Van Dyke, who was the love of her life, finally “made it legal”.
Chris, steady Katie will be waiting for you at the gate. Enjoy your memories, take care, and we’ll all get together upstairs.
Kate, You’ll be in my thoughts and prayers until I see you again. May God Rest and Comfort your Soul, and that of Chris, and the many others who loved you.
Signing off with tears in my eyes,
