Barack Obama Projected to Win Re-election

President Barack Obama was projected by most networks to win his bid for a second term as the President of the United States Tuesday night, after a tumultuous battle against his Republican challenger, Mitt Romney.

According to Reuters, Obama defeated Romney in a number of key battle ground states, including Ohio, Wisconsin, Iowa, Pennsylvania, Florida and New Hampshire, although the Romney campaign has yet to conceded.

According to the Suffolk County Board of Elections, President Obama carried just 49.94-percent of the vote in Suffolk County, compared with Romney’s 48.59-percent of the vote with 1001 of 1051 districts reporting as of midnight.
