Brauninger to Run with Democrats for Southampton Town Trustee

Posted on 24 July 2013

The Southampton Town Democratic Party has named North Haven resident Bill Brauninger a candidate for Southampton Town Trustee. According to Brauninger, he filed paperwork with the Suffolk County Board of Elections last week. He will take the place of incumbent trustee Fred Havemeyer, who last week said he would not be seeking reelection after 11 years of service. Brauninger raises Peconic Pearl Oysters in the Peconic Bay. An outspoken resident of North Haven, often present at village board and town board meetings, this will be his first run for political office.
