In response to requests from constituents, Southampton Town Supervisor Anna Throne-Holst has arranged for a New York State Department of Financial Services Mobile Command Center to be deployed in the Riverside/Flanders neighborhood next week.
On Wednesday, June 12 representatives will be available to help homeowners and businesses affected by Superstorm Sandy or Hurricane Irene apply for recovery aid that was approved by the federal government last month, process SandyHelp applications, and assist with insurance related issues stemming from damage caused by Sandy. Residents who have already applied for assistance will also be able to receive a status update on their application and help in determining the next steps they should take.
The mobile command center will be set up at the David Crohan Community Center, 655 Flanders Road in Flanders, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For more information, or to fill out an application, visit www.nysandyhelp.ny.gov or call the hotline: 855-NYS-SANDY (855-697-72639). The hotline is available from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
