East Hampton Town Police Discover Chemical Lab in Basement

East Hampton Town Police announced on Friday, June 25, that a makeshift chemical lab was discovered in the basement of a two-story residence on Neighborhood House Drive yesterday. Police say they were investigating a disturbance at the home. Occupants of the property were escorted off the site which was kept under lock and key until members of the US. Drug Enforcement Administration arrive and conducted their own investigation. Several items, including unidentified chemicals, were removed for testing, say police reports. According to the police, the case is still under investigation and anyone with additional information is encouraged to call town police at 537-7575.
