Emergency Water Shut Off in North Haven

Customers connected to the Suffolk County Water Authority on North Haven Friday afternoon experienced an emergency shut down of service. According to a customer service representative from SCWA, the authority was replacing a water main on Ferry Road near Fresh Pond Rd. when it experienced “unforeseen problems” At about 4 p.m. The representative could not elaborate.

The representative, reached at 4:20 p.m. said service should be restored within the hour.
