Harbor Heights Decision Expected Next Week

Posted on 15 January 2014

The clock is ticking for the Sag Harbor Village Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA), which must make a decision on John Leonard’s application to expand and redevelop the Harbor Heights Service Station property on Route 114 by its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, January 21.

The ZBA would be allowed to extend that decision only if Leonard consents to give the board more time. The ZBA has scheduled a work session on the application for Thursday, January 16 at 2 p.m. in advance of Tuesday’s meeting, which begins with a work session at 6 p.m.

Leonard’s application has been before the village boards for three years and has been met with substantial opposition, including from hundreds of residents who have filed letters of protest with the ZBA and the Sag Harbor Village Planning Board during the course of the review.
