New York State Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele, Jr. has received a 100 environmental rating for the 2013 Legislative Session from New York State’s leading statewide environmental organization EPL/Environmental Advocates.
Thiele’s score was the highest in the State Legislature for 2013.
Scores were based on member votes on several environmental bills including, but not limited to the: New York Solar Bill, fracking moratorium, Climate Protection Act, shark fin prohibition and Child Safe Products Act.
In the State Assembly the highest score was 100 and the lowest score was 17. In the Senate, the highest score was 86 and the lowest score was 36.
“The protection of our State’s environmental resources has always been one of my highest priorities,” said Thiele. “I am confident that this is reflected in the work I have done for my District, but also through regional and state-wide initiatives. Our economy and public health depends on protecting our environmental integrity.”
