Traffic Delays Expected Sunday as 31st Annual Mighty Hamptons Triathlon Kicks Off

On Sunday, September 9 between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. the 31st Annual Mighty Hamptons Triathlon will take place starting at Long Beach just outside of Sag Harbor in Noyac.

The bike and running portion of this event will travel on numerous roadways in Sag Harbor, Noyac, North Sea, Water Mill, Bridgehampton and North Haven with a large number of people expected to attend. Traffic delays should be anticipated, according to Southampton Town Police, particularly on Noyac Road, Majors Path, Head of Pond Road, Scuttlehole Road, Bricklin Road, Stoney Hill Road, Long Beach Road and Route 114,

Police said they encourage motorists to avoid these areas through 11 a.m. but if motorists have to drive on these roadways they are urged to do so with caution.
