The Pierson/Bridgehampton Lady Whalers (4-6, 4-0) pushed ahead with their undefeated Suffolk County League Eight record, routing the Port Jefferson Royals (0-5, 0-3) at home 67-19. Four Lady Whalers scored in double digits, led by senior forward Samantha James with 13. Nina Hemby followed closely with 11 points while Sarah Barrett and Bridget Canavan both had ten points each. Kaci Koehne added eight points to the effort. The Lady Whaler defense pitched a shutout in the first quarter, outscoring the Royals 22-0, and never looked back. The Lady Whalers now own a half-game cushion at the top of league eight over the McGann-Mercy Monarchs (5-4, 4-1).
