Little League Clinics Return

Posted on 06 March 2009

The Sag Harbor Bridgehampton Little League resumes its off-season player clinics this Sunday in the Pierson High School gym. The last of the six free workouts is set for next Sunday.

Softball players 7-and-up are due in first this Sunday at 1 p.m. followed by softball players 9-and-up at 2 p.m. Those sessions will be led by Pierson varsity softball coach Melissa Edwards and her players.

Baseball players 7-and-up are asked to come in at 3 p.m. and baseball players 9-and-up at 4 p.m. The chapter’s coaching coordinator, Jeff Warne, will lead those two sessions.

Player registration packets and chapter volunteer forms will be available at the clinics. All player and volunteer forms are due by March 22, which is the tryout/evaluation date for the AAA and majors programs (for softball and baseball players ages 9-to-12). That cut-off date includes player registration for t-ball (players 5-and-up) and minors (ages 7-and-up).

The AAA/majors tryouts will be held at SYS on Majors Path in Southampton, softball from noon to 1:30 p.m. and baseball from 1:30 to 4 p.m. For more information on the chapter’s programs, 2009 registration, the winter clinics and the AAA/majors tryouts, visit sagharborlittleleague.org.
