Little League Registration to Close; Clinics This Weekend

Posted on 12 March 2009

The Sag Harbor Bridgehampton Little League continues its off-season player clinics this Sunday in the Pierson High School gym. This is the last of the six free workouts and the last day for in-person registration at the school.

Registration for all levels will also be taken next Sunday at SYS on Majors Path in Southampton while skill and safety evaluations are being conducted for softball and baseball players ages 9-to-12. Players at those ages must be present for those evaluations to be eligible for the draft pools for their sport. Softball players are expected at noon next Sunday and baseball players at 1:30 p.m.

At this Sunday’s clinics at Pierson, softball players 7-and-up are due in first at 1 p.m. followed by softball players 9-and-up at 2 p.m. Those sessions will be led by Pierson varsity softball coach Melissa Edwards and her players.

Baseball players 7-and-up are asked to come in at 3 p.m. this Sunday and baseball players 9-and-up at 4 p.m. The chapter’s coaching coordinator, Jeff Warne, will lead those two sessions.

All player and volunteer forms are due by March 22. That cut-off date includes player registration for t-ball (players 5-and-up) and minors (ages 7-and-up).
