Last week the Ross/Pierson track team had a scrimmage at Mattituck and an Invitational meet at Westhampton.
The scrimmage, Thursday 4/22, at Mattituck was cut short by lightning. The following results came in before it was discontinued. Jocelyn Cole won the girls 400 meter intermediate hurdles in a time of 1:21.7. Oliver Lauro finished 2nd in the boys 400 intermediate hurdles in a time of 1:09.1. Stephen Early won the boys shot put with a throw a 33’ 3”. Charles McIntosh won the boys long jump with 18’ 2”. On Saturday both boys and girls traveled to the Westhampton invitational. Marco Lanuto won a medal by finishing 2nd in the novice boys 400 meter race in 62 seconds. The boys 400 meter relay team, Christian Gonzalez, Oliver Lauro, Brandon Zeidner and Stephen Early, won their race in a time of 49.1 seconds.
