Girls 7-8 Grade Tennis (0-1)

The girls lost their first match to the West Hampton Hurricanes, 2-5 at Mashashimuet Park this Tuesday. Doubles pair Lizzy Hochstedler and Lizzy Kot won their game (4-1)(3-4) Tiebreak (7-4). Doubles Brooke Britt and Madeline Briggs also won (4-2)(3-4) Tiebreak (7-5).Doubles Meg Atkinson-Barnes and Sarah Jannetti lost (4-1)(3-4) Tiebreak (6-8).

Boys Varsity Golf (4-2)

After getting off to a stellar start, the Whalers’ varsity golf team has dropped its last two games and is now in third place in League VIII. Their last matchup was a 1-7 loss to the East Hampton Bonackers on Tuesday, with a team score of 230-236. Junior Jake Bennett won his match at the sixth hole with a score of 50. Dillon Decker had the team-low of 38, while Harrison Bayrami tallied a 48.

East Hampton Football (0-3)

Things aren’t looking much better for Bonacker Football, which dropped its third game last Saturday, September 24. The home game against Eastport/South Manor was another blowout, 39-0. East Hampton next takes on the Comsewogue Warriors, on Saturday October 1.

Boys Soccer (4-4)

The boys soccer team lost their two games this week, dropping first on Saturday to Southold, 2-3, and then to Smithtown Christian at home on Monday, 3-2. The team has a league record of (2-2), and is currently in fourth place in Section VIII. The Whalers have an away game against Greenport/Shelter Island on Monday, October 3 at 4:30 p.m.

Girls Soccer (1-4)

The Lady Whalers lost another important game this Tuesday to Ross, 2-3. The team’s one win came this week on Saturday when they beat McGann-Mercy, 3-2. Junior outside halfback Sophie Gianis scored two goals in the win. The team’s next game is at Southold on October 6.
