Southampton Town Police pulled over Eugene O’Boyle, 41, of Merrick, on Friday, September 4, at around 11:30 p.m. O’Boyle was stopped on Fresh Pond Road in North Haven for allegedly operating his vehicle in an erratic manner and was found to be intoxicated. O’Boyle faces charges of driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor. Police say O’Boyle had two 14-year-old passengers in his vehicle The youths were later turned over to family members and child protective services was notified.
